Delta Natural Gas Company, Inc. is an investor-owned Kentucky-based natural gas utility company. The Company was founded in 1949 and has been publicly owned since 1981 and traded in the NASDAQ market under the symbol DGAS. Delta gathers, transports, produces, sells and distributes natural gas to about 37,000 customers in 23 counties in central and southeastern Kentucky. From our headquarters in Winchester, Kentucky, we operate our 2,500 mile pipeline system. Our 157 employees provide dependable, high quality service to our customers.

Our operations are regulated by the Kentucky Public Service Commission. Our regulated utility assets include transportation and distribution pipelines as well as underground storage wells. We buy and distribute natural gas to residential, commercial and industrial customers. We transport natural gas to industrial customers, and we also transport natural gas from producers to other pipeline systems. Our other business efforts include development of non-regulated businesses that contribute to our earnings by producing and selling natural gas.

Presenter - John B. Brown, Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer and Secretary -   John Brown assumed his duties as Delta Natural Gas Company, Inc.'s CFO in May 2007,  responsible for Delta's financial reporting and treasury functions.  He also serves as corporate secretary and oversees the areas of accounting, rates, information technology, human resources and investor relations.  John joined Delta in 1995 as Manager - Accounting & Information Technology and became a corporate officer in 1999.

Prior to his tenure at Delta, John served as a public accountant for Arthur Andersen, specializing in the regulated utility industry, and included Delta among his clients.  In addition to Delta, he served three other SEC registrants and several not-for-profit clients.

John holds a MBA from the University of Kentucky, a bachelor's degree in accounting and business management from Asbury College and is a certified public accountant.
